TCEP CONNECT 2019The TCEP CONNECT Annual Meeting is the largest Annual Meeting of Emergency Physicians in Texas. The two-day event provides outstanding continuing education for our emergency physicians, followed by our Legislative Day at the Texas State Capitol. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED TCEP CONNECT 2019 IN AUSTIN! IT WAS A MAJOR HIT!With close to 400 attendees, we had a very successful Annual Meeting in Austin March 22-25. Kicking off TCEP CONNECT 2019 was a riveting opening session by The Drum Cafe, followed by ACEP President Dr. Vidor Friedman. Throughout the day the Exhibit Hall was packed with attendees meeting with our vendors and sponsors, and learning at our Pop-Up Education sessions. Our Awards Luncheon with Keynote Speaker Dr. Greg Henry was at maximum capacity, and the Saturday night Exhibit Hall Reception provided Poster Presentations, live music, and prizes! Sunday was another success with our Medical Student Residency Fair, Resident OL"EM"PICS and SIM WARS, plus our Annual Business Meeting where we voted on the new 2019-20 TCEP Board Members. With this being a Legislative Session year, Monday we held our own Emergency Physician Legislative Day at the Capitol and met with various Legislators to discuss bills affecting emergency medicine. We concluded with a TCEP Board of Directors meeting to end the jam-packed weekend of activities. If you couldn’t make it this year, you’ll definitely want to be in Fort Worth for CONNECT 2020!
