Are you ready to take the next step in your career? TCEP's TLAF program is your gateway to becoming a future leader in emergency medicine. Designed to provide comprehensive mentoring, organizational education, and advocacy skills training, this fellowship offers a unique opportunity to grow and excel in Emergency Medicine.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Board Participation: Fellows are appointed as ex-officio members of the TCEP Board of Directors, receiving full access to information and opportunities to engage in College business.
  • ACEP Representation: Fellows serve as ACEP Alternate Councillors, representing TCEP at ACEP Council meetings and actively participating in the resolution process.
  • Publications: Fellows are encouraged to contribute articles for publication in TCEP’s EMphasis electronic newsletter.
  • Project Completion: Each Fellow will identify and complete a project of interest.
  • Meeting Attendance: Fellows are strongly encouraged to attend all meetings where they serve as TCEP Ambassadors, including:
  • TLAF Orientation – June 2025
  • TCEP Board Meetings – Quarterly (June, August, November, January, April)
  • ACEP Council Scientific Assembly – September 5-6, 2025 (Salt Lake City, UT)
  • TCEP CONNECT – April 2026
  • ACEP Leadership and Advocacy Conference – April (Washington, DC)

The TLAF program serves as a foundation for achieving the ACEP Fellowship (FACEP) designation.

WHO CAN APPLY?

  • Must be a TCEP/ACEP member in good standing
  • Open to EM residents in their final year of training or EM residency graduates
  • Must have at least two (2) years of membership in ACEP or EMRA
  • Must commit to participating in all designated meetings outlined in the program

HOW ARE PARTICIPANTS SELECTED?

The TCEP Board of Directors carefully reviews applications to select fellows who demonstrate exceptional potential for leadership in emergency medicine.
