Call for Abstracts
TCEP invites you to submit an abstract for the 2026 Annual Research Forum taking place in conjunction with our CONNECT 2026 in Rockwall, TX, April 10 - 11, 2026.
Abstract Deadlines
Abstracts will be accepted from November 4, 2025, through January 11, 2026. If your abstract is accepted and you choose to present, you are required to register, and attend CONNECT 2026 in person.
- January 11, 2026, 11:59 p.m., CST - Deadline to submit abstract.
- February 11, 2026 - Acceptance/rejection notification sent.
- April 10, 2026 - Abstract presentations given at CONNECT 2026. Winners will be announced during Awards Luncheon on April 11.
Instructions for participation:
- Abstracts must be original research related to the field of emergency medicine.
- Abstracts must include the following subsections, consistent in style with those appearing in Annals of Emergency Medicine: title, background and hypothesis, methods (include design, setting, and type of participants), results, and conclusion.
- Abstracts are limited to 3,000 characters.
- Abstracts must be in English.
- Accepted abstracts will be presented during TCEP's CONNECT 2026 at the Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakeside on Fri., April 10, 2026.
Award Categories:
Abstract winners will be recognized during the Awards Luncheon at CONNECT 2026 on Fri., April 10, 2026. In addition, winners will be recognized on TCEP's website, social media platforms, and in a future edition of TCEP's EMphasis newsletter.

- Best Original Research Resident Award
- Best Original Research Fellow Award

Commonly asked questions:
Q: Can physicians/researchers submit posters without residents and students? A: Yes, absolutely! However, awards are only given to best student, resident and fellow abstracts.
Q: Can I submit more than one abstract? A: The first author may only submit 1 abstract, however, they can be listed as co-author of other abstracts submitted.
Q: Does it need to be original clinical research, or are literature reviews also an accepted submission? A: Original research.
Q: Can I submit an abstract that has already been presented at other academic conferences? A: This is allowed, if the conference the research was presented at was a local conference. If it was already presented regionally or nationally, then no, it may not be re-submitted.
